Designed by Paul Cooper, an award-winning English artist of artistic gardens.
The layout takes Venice as its inspiration by using natural Stone from Venice but reinterpreted in a modernist key with its shaped columns immersed in water in a perimeter canal, like the famous wooden “bricole” used by Venetian gondolas as their customary anchorage. The slight movement of the waves in the Venetian lagoon is suggested by the alternating play of milled three-dimensional wall panels.
